Did Triumph put a long front end on any 71-83 twins like it did on the Hurricanes?  I need to find out if there was a year / model that has a wheelbase longer than 56 inches.

Thanks, Ralph

As far as I know they were all the same length , from 1976 on there were two part numbers listed for the front forks ( uk and us )but the same springs were used in both so presume the same length. There used to be a couple of companys that used to sell longer than stock fork tubes, if I remember right Drag specialities was one of them.

Hi Ralph, i've just been reading the february edition of 'Classic Bike' and it mentions that the Trophy Trail (Adventurer) had 6" overs on the forks, the wheelbase is only 53.5 inches though,

All the best

Ken,
That might just be 6” of travel. My ’73 TR5T Trophy Trail (Adventurer) has the same length forks as the ’73 Bonnie, just the drum brake sliders instead of disk brake ones.
Cheers, Ron T.
