I have just bought a 73 T140 for not a lot of money. There  is a big hole in the side of the motor with whats left of a conrod sticking out  Huh? Under the bench there just happens to be a good 1970 - T120 motor Grin this could be a runner for £ 450 quid  Cool is it for sale ...... not bloody likely .

The 73 - T140 is a right shift so the 650 will drop right in ,I have a T140V , T150V and a 900 Daytona all on the road so cash is tight , the 650 has got a Norish 8 value head barrels and crank it came ot qf a race triton so it should be good for 140 mph and the wife needs a new car .

Well, if you have the motor, and it's all but a racer, go ahead. But that's late info.
If you are talking stock motors, why - unless you just want to build a bike from what you have.
Or , then again, why not?
I guess it does not really matter.

The bike is now a runner I ended up with a 2 into 2 short megs . took it for a run around the scottish borders , the bike ran well and is very quick Grin When I got the motor it came with a head and barrels for a T140 , these I will definitely be fitting on to the 78 - T140v what a transformation.

The end is nowhere near in site , on bikes like this ther is always some thing to improve . the brakes is the next thing to look at.
